We are a chapter of the national organization of Blue Star Moms founded on
February 6, 1942. Our chapter's mission is to support and honor active duty personnel, promote patriotism, aide veteran's groups and assist in homeland volunteer groups
such as those who provide packages for our deployed military service men and women.

Who are the Rim Blue Star Moms?

Blue Star Moms is the local chapter of the national organization of Blue Star Moms. We are the patriotic mothers of sons and daughters serving and sacrificing in the United
States military. Our children make up the members of the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, Coast Guard, Army National Guard, Air National Guard and all the associated reserves. We
proudly support our troops in a number of different ways. Our Banners
Each blue star
represents a member in active duty. A gold star is displayed if a member is killed in action or dies in service. A silver
star is displayed for a member who has been wounded or disabled. Look around our beautiful mountain and see our
children's banners nobly hanging elevated above street level. You will notice some gold star banners, too. Please honor
their sacrifice by offering a prayer for them and their families.
